Fund Support for DeafBlind Children

We are parents and advocates for Wisconsin’s Deafblind children seeking long-term funding for Wisconsin’s only Deafblind Assistance Program.

Wisconsin’s Deafblind Technical Assistance Project is WDBTAP(link)

This site is solely dedicated to securing permanent funding for Deafblind Children.

Current funding will run out on September 30th, 2026.

Future grant funding is not guaranteed. The staff of WDBTAP are pursing every opportunity they have.

Every day matters!

Every day is a day to fix this issue.

Every day is 1 more day of uncertainty about the help our families need.

The current budget of the program is ~ $180,000 per year. This is only enough to provide a skeleton support program. This does not provide enough funding to find and support ALL Deafblind kids across the state of Wisconsin!

About Deafblind Disability

About 300-500 kids may be eligible for Deafblind Services. But WDBTAP does not have the resources to find them all!

Help us to help our kids!

WDBTAP serves approximately 170 kids across the state of Wisconsin.

Immediate Goal:

“Provide Deafblind assistance for Wisconsin children after September 30, 2026.”

Long-Term Goals:

Beyond September 30th, 2026:

  1. Evaluate the Deafblind Project’s successes and remaining needs.
  2. Create a long-term program plan.
  3. Provide realistic funding to meet the needs all Wisconsin Deafblind kids.

Time until Midterm Elections.

We will want to pay close attention to the people running for election and educating them on the needs of Deafblind Kids. Ask us how you can help!
